MAKING PAYMENTS AND THIRD PARTY INSOLVENCY COVER
Kaleidoscopic Travel sells travel options via third party suppliers and wholesalers. We strongly recommend you pay for your travel arrangements using your credit card which will attract a credit card fee of between 1.3% and 3.25% depending on the card type (please refer to the above schedule of credit card fees). This comprises the bank charges and protection against supplier insolvency via the ACS Chargeback Scheme. This is delivered by the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) for suppliers and wholesalers who are members of the AFTA Industry body. Should you decide to pay via direct bank deposit you will not be covered by the Scheme protecting you against supplier and wholesaler insolvency.
Kaleidoscopic Travel is unable to obtain affordable insurance to manage risk and therefore excludes liability for loss related to a supplier or wholesaler who becomes insolvent. Should you decide to pay via direct funds/direct deposit against our advice you accept this risk.
