I have lived in and travelled to many varied and wonderful places in my many years in the travel industry working in the USA, South Africa and Australia. I did once take a reprieve for five years to manage my daughter’s fashion label but soon found myself back in a travel retail office doing what I do best. I have travelled to remote places (think sailing boat) and have visited many popular tourist hot spots. All have been enlightening and educational – some of the best experiences of my life – all encounters that have shaped me into who I am and what I believe in. So it is my quest that I can encourage others to 'Just Do It!' too.

I have worked most of my working life in the travel industry in retail and in wholesale – reservations agent, customer service manager, special groups coordinator, promotions manager, tour leader and state sales manager. I have also dabbled in writing, catering, teaching English, valet service and fashion.
I am the eternal optimist and I never, never, never, never give up. I believe in being fair, honest, trustworthy, friendly, empathetic, kind and courageous. To me the definition of success in life is to have made a positive impact on someone's life – whether it be a child, a friend or a stranger. Travel does just this – research findings have proved that travel has a positive effect on people long after the trip is over. My goal is to play a part in future travellers returning home with positive and informed impressions that will shape their lives.
